Genealogical Research and Privacy Statement.

  • I do not make assumptions. Data and relationships are verified by documentation, often more than a single source. In general in my research I look to sources to corroborate other sources. In the material presented here on this site, sources may or may not be listed.
  • Privacy is important. Any information about living individuals will not be included and is considered confidential. Information that may be seen as private, controversial or harmful to a person – living or deceased – will not be included or shared.
  • I don’t go looking to “dig up dirt” on anyone.
  • I may choose to share some confidential or private information with family members, if/when appropriate. I may not. (See above bullet point.)
  • In instances where connections, facts, etc., can be determined due to circumstantial evidence (for lack of a better term) it may be included, but will be noted as such. These are generally things such as likely birth/death places or years, when there’s no actual death or birth record to be found.
